pink pussy lips.
Oh, Father, she said. This feels so good. Thank you.
At the same time, the boy-angel-child began licking and sucking on my balls and cock. I reached down to stroke the boys hair and rub the girls soft, little buns as they worked me to a fucking frenzy.
Jesus and some of the naked twelve Apostles were already hard, but a couple needed my help. I tell em to stand around the table and I go to each one and do a little push-pull fuck face just enough so I got thirteen purple dicks standing tall as church steeples.
At one point theyre all beatin their meat and I go up to Judas to give him a little help with my droolin lips and he gives me this eat shit look. I tell Judas he can take his knarly ass the fuck outta here, which he does. Judas is a friggin prude!
So now everyones hard as rocks, theyre strokin their dicks and getting ready for some fun. I lie down on the table, face-up, and say, s see what you got! Show me some sperm! that sort of thing.
Jesus, ever the fuckin Messiah, says, My brothers, as we cum together on the nude body of the Magdeline, may your jism become the seed of the New Covenant.Next, he pumps his cock a few times and fires off a thick spray of juicy Jesus-cum that lands on my pussy and drips between my legs. Upon this pussy, he says. I build my fuckin church. With that, its cock-pumping, ball-bouncing grunting and moaning from Jesus and the Apostles, most of whom are oozing threads of pre-cum onto the table and my naked body.
So Im lying there, turned on as all hell, waiting for my cum-bath. Some guys pump like crazy, others are stroking slowly, eyes toward heaven or watching my twitchin snatch whatever. My little clit is peeping out from under its tiny hood, my gash is overflowing with love-juce and Im fuckin hot!
I start to writhe on the table, spread my legs wide apart and open my mouth wide. Then, Bam! at the exact same instant, they give a collective grunt, and then all I hear is, Fuck! Shit! Oh yes! I go from dry to drenched in about five seconds. Theres jizz flying everywhere. My hair, my face, my tits, stomach, cunt, thighs legs, toes friggin everywhere! Its raining man-gravy and Im lovin it! I take one big gob from St. Peter in my mouth and gargle it down. I am nothin but fuckin cum from head to toe and I am ecstatic!
After a few minutes, I see dicks starting to go limp. Come on, ass-holes! Is that all you got? I say. I get another squirt or two and thats pretty much it.
How about rubbing your fuck-wads on my slipery skin, I say. Jesus and a few of the guys slide their fingers through the love-honey and rub it all aver my face and tits. I get a quick finger-fuck from Dr. Luke.
I look up at Jesus and say, How am I going to get this sticky mess off me? As if on cue, Jesus grabs his cock and starts to pee a hot, yellow stream on my belly. In a flash, the whole lot of em is hosing me down with piss. This golden shower feels fuckin awesome.
Matthew, always a wise-ass, says, Hail, Mary! Open wide! I open my mouth and he pisses a stream right in. Man, I spit that pee out, pronto! Ass-hole! Im ready to kick his butt!
Jesus the peacemaker says. Kiss and make up.I crawl over to St. Matthew, take his limp dick in my mouth and give it a little nibble. What the fuck! he shouts, and then we both break out laughing. I love these guys, I really do.
So everyones sitting naked around the table, wasted and fucked-out. Im in Jesus lap. I wish that the camera had been invented, because some dick-head would probably paint this scene in a few hundred years and get the thing totally wrong. No painting will be able to capture the true spirit of Jesus last supper and fuck-fest.
Jesus kisses my cum-soaked hair, looks up and says, Do this in memory of me.
*Become a Sex Minister in the Erotic Order of St. Mary Magdeline*
The heavenly "children" continued to fondle and lick my penis, scrotum and bung-hole and Im bursting at the seams! My cock twitched, my balls contracted and my ass-hole went tight. I fired off salvo after salve of red-hot sperm into the air.
Some landed on the sweet little angel-girls back, wings and hair. A few squirts splashed onto the angelic boys face and the rest formed sticky pools on my bed and floor.
Oh, Father, the adorable girl-angel said, my cum dripping onto her face. This is so wonderful!Yes, wonderful, said the jizz-covered boy-angel.
With that, the two cum-stained innocents were gone and I was left alone to ponder the meaning of St. Mary Magdelines latest revelations. The New Covenant seem to be instructing us to look at our sexuality in a whole new way.

Basic Wilderness Survival Skills
Probably the most important skill needed in order to not just survive but possibly thrive in wilderness environments is the ability to throw a mental switch in our minds that shuts off civilization. Not morals or beliefs but the prejudices we carry around without realizing it. Just a couple of generations ago indoor plumbing was extremely rare. Today I know many people who can not bring themselves to use an outdoor washroom facility. If you cant use an outhouse how are you going to manage to go in the woods? Do you know enough to dig a hole and bury your waste? To make sure it is not where it may pose a risk to your water supply. Little things everyone knew a hundred years ago.
If You are a picky eater how are you going to get by when nature plays a big part in planning your meals instead of marketing executives at fast food chains. You have to learn to eat what is available. In the wilderness you will not be able to make your favourite thing for dinner. Most especially if you favorite thing to make for dinner is reservations. One major piece of advice, dont venture into the woods for a survival situation unless you have worked up to it. The most important kind of preparation you can make is mental preparation.
The advances in the development of outdoor clothing, equipment, emergency food and techniques have been growing rapidly in recent years. For those beginners interested in using the outdoors there is unlimited information on wilderness survival skills and equipment available. However, experience is the best teacher in any outdoor situation and your reaction in a wilderness survival situation depends on your education, training and practical experience. Always keep in mind that it can happen to you. Those who are mentally and physically prepared to survive are more likely to do so. To deal with an emergency situation one must be able to make decisions, improvise and remain calm. Running though possible scenarios in your mind or even better having drills or exercises to practice those may make the difference between life and death in a real setting.
Fear - For anyone faced with a wilderness emergency survival situation, fear is a normal reaction. Unless an emergency situation has been anticipated, fear is generally followed by panic then pain, cold, thirst, hunger, fatigue, boredom and loneliness. It is extremely important to calmly assess the situation and not allow these seven enemies of survival to interfere with your survival.
Pain - Pain may often be ignored in a panic situation. Remember to deal with injuries immediately before they become even more serious. Getting the best first aid training available to you is extremely important. Next would be seeing that all members of your group are as up to date with theirs as is practical. Finally carry the best first aid kit you can under the circumstances. The kit you can throw in a car and take to a permanent campsite is going to be far more extensive than the one you backpack into the mountains. Few think of ascending levels of first aid kits. My largest is at home and is made up of other kits inside it which can be taken instantly in the event of needing to move quickly. The first aid and survival kits you keep on hand should be updated at least four times a year. They need to be adjusted to keep up with seasonal variations in conditions and the area you are in.
Cold - Cold lowers the ability to think, numbing the body and reducing the will to survive. Never allow yourself to stop moving or to fall asleep unless adequately sheltered. This becomes many times more important in the event you are wet as heat is conducted away from your body extremely quickly in such situations.
Thirst - Dehydration is a common enemy in an emergency situation and must not be ignored. It can dull your mind, causing you to overlook important survival information.
Hunger - Hunger is dangerous but seldom deadly. It may reduce your ability to think logically and increase your susceptibility to the effects of cold, pain and fear.
Fatigue - Fatigue is unavoidable in any situation so it is best to keep in mind that it can and will lower your mental ability. Remember that in an emergency situation this is often the bodys way of escaping a difficult situation. Soldiers have a saying, never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lie down and dont pass up an opportunity for sleep.
Boredom Loneliness - These enemies are quite often unanticipated and may lower the mind's ability to deal with the situation.
HOW TO:
Build a Fire
Building a fire is the most important task when dealing with survival in the wilderness. Be sure to build yours in a sandy or rocky area or near a supply of sand and water as to avoid forest fires. The most common mistakes made by those attempting to build a fire are: choosing poor tinder, failing to shield precious matches from the wind and smothering the flames with too large pieces of fuel. The four most important factors when starting a fire are spark - tinder - fuel - oxygen. In days gone by it was unthinkable to travel without tinder. Tinder being the easily lit fuel you use to start a small fire which you build into a larger one by adding fuel.
The most common ways to create spark are:
1. Waterproof, strike-anywhere matches are your best bet. Matches may be water-proofed by dipping them in nail polish. Store your matches in a waterproof container.
2. A cigarette lighter is also a good way to produce a spark, with or without fuel.
3. The flint and steel method is one of the oldest and most reliable methods in fire starting. Aim the sparks at a pile of dry tinder to produce a fire.
4. The electric spark produced from a battery will ignite a gasoline dampened rag.
5. Remove half of the powder from a bullet and pour it into the tinder. Next place a rag in the cartridge case of the gun and fire. The rag should ignite and then may be placed into the tinder.
6. Allow the suns rays to pass through a magnifying glass onto the tinder.
7. I personally like to take with me special matches prepared ahead of time. I use a whipping knot to wrap the match. Which should be of the strike anywhere type then dip it in paraffin wax? This in effect makes the match a candle providing you with much more time to start your fire.
Dry grass, paper or cloth lint, gasoline-soaked rags and dry bark are all forms of tinder. Place your tinder in a small pile resembling a tepee with the driest pieces at the bottom. Use a fire starter or strip of pitch if it is available. I carry some powdered magnesium in my survival kit. I also carry a small bar of it with a flint side. It will not burn in solid form but a single spark can ignite the powder. It burns at thousands of degrees so is useful in igniting even damp wood.
It is important to keep in mind that smaller pieces of kindling such as, twigs, bark, shavings and gasoline, are necessary when trying to ignite larger pieces of fuel. Gather fuel before attempting to start your fire. Obviously dry wood burns better and wet or pitchy wood will create more smoke. Dense, dry wood will burn slow and hot. A well ventilated fire will burn best.
Build a Shelter
A small shelter which is insulated from the bottom, protected from wind and snow and contains a fire is extremely important in wilderness survival. Before building your shelter be sure that the surrounding area provides the materials needed to build a good fire, a good water source and shelter from the wind.
Wilderness shelters may include:
1. Natural shelters such as caves and overhanging cliffs. When exploring a possible shelter tie a piece of string to the outer mouth of the cave to ensure you will be able to find your way out. Keep in mind that these caves may already be occupied. If you do use a cave for shelter, build your fire near its mouth to prevent animals from entering.
2. Enlarge the natural pit under a fallen tree and line it with bark or tree boughs.
3. Near a rocky coastal area, build a rock shelter in the shape of a U, covering the roof with driftwood and a tarp or even seaweed for protection.
4. A lean-to made with poles or fallen trees and a covering of plastic, boughs, thick grasses or bark is effective to shelter you from wind, rain and snow.
5. A wigwam may be constructed using three long poles. Tie the tops of the poles together and upright them in an appropriate spot. Cover the sides with a tarp, boughs, raingear or other suitable materials. Build a fire in the center of the wigwam, making a draft channel in the wall and a small hole in the top to allow smoke to escape.
6. If you find yourself in open terrain, a snow cave will provide good shelter. Find a drift and burrow a tunnel into the side for about 60 cm (24 in) then build your chamber. The entrance of the tunnel should lead to the lowest level of you chamber where the cooking and storage of equipment will be. A minimum of two ventilating holes are necessary, preferably one in the roof and one in the door.
CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT
Clothing
Clothing must provide warmth and offer protection from the elements. Layers of light, natural fibers are best. Hats are a must, as they offer protection from both the heat and cold. Water proof outer layers are necessary.
Equipment
Equipment must be easily manageable and promote survival in any situation. Items to carry in your pockets may include a fire starter, waterproof matches and/or lighter, a pocket knife, goggles, compass, small first-aid kit and some sort of trail food.
Survival Kit
Items for your survival kit should be packed in a waterproof container that can double as a cooking pot and water receptacle and be attached to your belt. I guess I always wanted to be Batman when I grew up and have made myself a utility belt with a number of pouches. In my case they are digital camera cases. Each case has items for a different purpose. Purposes range from fire starting to first aid. To signaling to twine and pocket duct tape. One note duct tape does not work well in extreme cold.
Backpack
In addition to a survival kit, a good, comfortable backpack is mandatory. Loads of about 18 kg (40 lb.) are average. Items to include are; flashlight, extra jacket, socks and mittens, a pocket saw, gas camp stove, first aid kit, emergency food, and a tent and fly. Depending on season a sleeping bag or substitute may be a must.
CHECK LIST
Useful items to include on your hike are:
1. A map and compass.
2. A large, bright plastic bag will be useful as a shelter, signaling device or in lieu of raingear.
3. A flashlight with extra batteries.
4. Extra water and food.
5. Extra clothing such as raingear, a toque and gloves, a sweater and pants.
6. Sun protection such as sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat and long sleeved clothing.
7. A sharp pocket knife. Your main knife should have a locking blade to prevent slipping and injury. A second Swiss army knife or multi tool can also be very useful.
8. Waterproof matches a lighter and/or a flint.
9. Candles and fire starter.
10. A first aid kit.
11. A whistle, flares, a tarp.
Remember this list is an absolute minimum. Your own location, situation and training will determine what else to add to this list. Never take anything with you which you have no knowledge of how to use.

Nielsen Wednesday began informing advertisers, agencies and television networks that rely on its national TV ratings that a significant number of people don't use its so-called "people meter" system properly. In fact, new data being released by Nielsen shows that the more people that are present in those TV ratings households, the more likely it is that they are not reporting their viewing accurately, and that the overall affect has been understating the national TV ratings by about 8%.

Title probably should read Jessie SWEEEEEET as this sexy brunette looks really good in this stretchable pose. Long sexy legs that can wrap right around you, encouraging you as you thrust harder. But I guess Im starting at the wrong place or am I. As I gaze at this picture, Im not really paying attention to the fact that she has a pretty face or nice natural tits. My focus is on her legs, ass and that little pleasure trove thats just barely out of site.
Perhaps, Im just being a typical horn dog, but I dont think thats my style. I think I can appreciate a nude for the erotic beauty of such but yet, I confess, I do tend to spin mental pictures, fantisies if you will, with the Jessie and her long, limber legs. I love that her womanhood while in sight, isnt and Ive got to imagine the shape, color and other features of it. I like this babe and I really like this picture as my mind wonders to places I like it to be.

Online dating is at an all time high. People of all ages and stages and mind set are taking advantage of interpersonal ads and available technology to find a match that is just right. That brings into question how safe is online dating? Below are a set of recommendations and safe guards that need to be considered when participating in online dating.
Choosing
First and foremost find an online dating service that you are comfortable with. What makes an online dating service trust worthy; online dating services should have detailed privacy policies in place, as well as very specific guidelines as to what kind of information they collect and how that information is used. So do some research about the website or service you are interested in joining before filling out any personal information. Currently almost all dating services have systems in place that allow you to chat, send private messages to other members without giving away the details of your identity.
Your personal information should always be the last thing to give out even when you have found an online dating service that appeals to you and matches your interests and lifestyle. Please under no circumstance should you give out your phone number, address, or any other personal information online. The internet is a public area and you do not want your personal information in the wrong hands. It is a good idea to limit your correspondence to anonymous chats particularly through the online dating service until you get to know the other person well enough to share a little more personal information.
Anonymity
With the proliferation of online communities like Yahoo, Msn, Google etc it is easy to create a semi-anonymous identity via free email that allows people to reach you. Use this identity for your online dating correspondence. You can also set up a voicemail account and a post office box. There are times when you may feel compatibility at first, and then wish you had not given away your information. Providing personally identifying details should come fairly late in the game.
Calling
If you are at the point where vocal communication is necessary use a public phone, some online services provide PC-to-PC communication. If you want to use your cell phone or use your home phone number, call the person yourself and do not forget to block the Caller ID before making the phone call. Keep in mind that if you give your home phone number, you have practically given out your home address. If your contact has given you a toll -free number be wary. The number you call from is always listed on the itemized phone bill. It is always a good idea to call directory assistance or look up the number online to ensure that the number you were given matches with the name. There is nothing against been too careful. You can always do a Google search on the name.
Meeting
This can be considered the most important step of all to consider so put some extra planning into it. Choose a public place to meet, at a time when lots of people are going to be around. Do not under any circumstance go to their home or bring them to your place. Let a couple of people know where you are going and how to get in touch with you while you are meeting, possible set up a time to receive a call from one of your friends to checkup on you. Let your friends also know when your meeting or date will be over. It is not a bad idea to take a friend along for the first meeting, and suggest that the other person do the same. This is to provide comfort for both parties. In some cultures you do not leave your food or drink unattended, this will be a good place to practice that. If you need to excuse yourself from the table during the date, take your drink with you or order another drink when you return. If you start to feel sick, call a friend immediately and move to a security guard station or information desk. Do not take in alcoholic beverages. It is important that you be able to drive yourself home. If you travel for this first date, make sure as not to reveal where you are lodged. Why all this fuse? Well there are some people out there who are going to want to take advantage of you some might even want to hurt you. So just be careful. Follow your instinct. Ask a lot of questions of potential matches, and be aware and skeptical of anything they say that contradicts something they may have said previously or anything they stated in their online dating profile.
To sum it all up online dating has advantages where you kind of interviewing potential partners before you meet them, but anyone can pretend to be someone they are not, so be smart and read between the lines. Remember that online dating services cannot completely guarantee your safety in any kind of dating situation; they can do so to an extent by blocking some members from bothering you. That is as far as they can protect you. But you can greatly decrease your risk by remaining alert and using common sense and better judgment.

Question: What does this guy want? Is he really into me for something else rather than a relationship?
I met this guy online in april of '08 - reading other peoples posts u dont see to hype about on-line dating or any kind of online relationship - to some point i agree with that - but if u live in a small community and there are only a few guys yea - and if u aren't into the whole bar scene (not that this small community even tracks in a lot of guys but what to i know i dont drink so...) That's the reason why i have started to look online yes people always talk about all the risks and i agree u do have to be cautious i am also the type of person who takes risks...anyways i could go on and on about this but i will stick to the present...so i met this guy online - and he only lives a province between me so the distance is still 12 hrs which really sucks because we don't get the physical aspect of the relationship - this guy is 8 years older than me - i did see him in aug...now the other issues is we both have health issues - i feel i sympathize with him alot and don't try to mother him about it - he knows what to do with his health more than i do but it seems to prohibit him from alot things i.e. going out, getting a job - anyways he says he will come out to visit but it doesn't happen - i am being patient - but it makes me think how much is he into this relationship? i have insecure issues about that because my relationships ( both were long-distance) the guy never showed up. Am i just attracted to the wrong guys? The other factor is this he lives at home with his mom (because of his blood disorder - he colasped a couple of months before i met him - hence the reason he lives with his mom. He also has no moeny or at least they are all tied up in accounts - and when he first started asking me - i thought sure i can help him out - but i didn't think it would be an ongoing thing - he's let up some because i keep asking is this what u want me for? my money? and his reply is no. (perhaps he is just giving me the answer i wanna hear. I actually enjoy giving and it isn't about the money it's about what does he really want me for. The week i went to visit him we had some really good times and thou i have been with 2 other guys this is first guy i had sex with and my bf also said he was a virgin (he did tell me of an incident when he was 16 and he hadn't consented but his babysitter forced him to...)
we talk everyday - sometimes not so much as other days - he use to call - and i don't ask him to - but now he rarely calls - i call him when he says call me - for me the phone conversations are the best...i don't mind txt or chatting on msn, i just enjoy hearing his voice than this past week his talking to other gurls online has gotten to me - he continues to tell me nothing is up with that - but than y does he talk to them - yea i know have a few issues to get through - and i always wonder if he wanted a gurl y doesn't he get one from the city (he lives in a city where there are "lots of fish in the sea") i have read what u said about guys having other gurl relationships - anyhoo it got to the breaking point for me - i was having a rough day of it - and i just txted him to forget me - he txted back and siad "u just told me u were done with us. this is a shock to my system" i realized once again i spoke to hastily - because despite our issues i wanna work things through - i am always to quick to just give up and forget about working things through - i know i cant change him - i dont want to change him - but it's all so very frustrating - i am trying to save up money so i can move to him and so each time he broaches me about money i think "does he want me more for my money?" And recently ha hints about marriage - or that someday he's gonna marry me and that "im the one" no offfence, but i have heard these kinds of promises from guys before.. and though marriage is great and all - i see the stuff happening all around me - divorce - and it scares the crap out of me cuz i want a relationship thats gonna last and yes it's hard work and yes i am perhaps ridiculous for trying to find someone long distance - i am an average looking girl - yea fairly skinny i guess - short - and i don't worry about my looks too much, i have had to deal with other issues pertaining to my health that have made looks seem small in comparison...i do see a councilor on a regular basis and i tried to talk to her about my feelings when it comes to him talking to other gurls and she was like do u notice the red flags "he lives with his mom" (she recently read a letter of my sisters - i had asked my sister what it was like to live with a sister (me) who had a chronic illness for the time she was 14 so my sister did that but she also wrote how from her perspective this guy wasn't looking all that great - it pisses me off that my family becomes so opinionated about my guys sure they have cause for concern but nobody really knows me - there just play their protective/loyalty role - and my sisters dont contact me - i contact them - not that should be a huge issues but gez if they are so concerned y don't they ever call me up) anyhoo my councilor instead of working me through my issues decided to go the motherly route...maybe it's silly to be going out in ldr with a guy who is living with his mom - i know what it's like to live with an illness so i don't say too much - i would probably do the same thing and besides who says a when a guy goes through health issues he's on that emotional roller coaster too..i'm not sticking up to the guy per se, just saying i know what it feels like so i don't judge it...anyhoo with all these ramblings i just wanna know what this guy exactly wants - i talked to him after blowing him off to forget me and know of course he questions whether i want him or not but he took me back (he's told me to forget about him to when his health is getting to him or he's having a bad day..we all get like that)...of course i want him but maybe not the way he is which means maybe this relationship is too much to handle or something...what i don't get is okay he knows he has medical expenses that he's got to find a way to pay them - now he tells me he has accounts that he can't touch - i guess u see i'm turmoil here - very confused - i have talked about some of these things with him and not sure how much it's helped...anyhoo this was long so i'll keep it to that - any thought would be great...thanks..
VictorM's advice:
Given his health issues, I don't see a problem with him living with his mother. I know this is very cultural -- more of a problem in USA and Canada than other countries. What bothers me most is not only him accepting money from you, but even asking for it. And while it would still bother me if he were poor, that he claims his own money is tied in accounts that he can't touch gives this whole business a con man kinda feel to it.
Listen, I understand the issues with being in a small town and not being the bar going person. Online can indeed introduce you to guys. That is not the problem; the problem is getting stuck with one guy that appears very shady and who, as time goes on, seems less interested in you, not more.
I think your counselor and your family are trying to alert you to serious problems. You seem more determined in fighting them than being receptive to their message. There sure is enough in this story to make anyone who cares about you skeptical where it's going to lead.
For someone who claims to be fearful of marriage because you want one that lasts, you don't seem picky enough now. You have a right, and a duty to yourself, to expect and demand more from a guy. Don't cheat yourself just because contrary to what you've told me, you're just not being patient. You're still very young; aim for better.

A few days later, Rusty was at a red light when a car horn blew. She looked left and saw that it was Zion who had blown at her and returned the wave. She felt silly following the rock star, but she had decided to ask her out to dinner. Zion stopped in front of the post office on Main Street. Zion had parked in the only vacant parking spot on that side so Rusty went further up, turned around to come down on the other side and parked. She crossed the street and waited beside Zion's car.
"Are you stalking me?" Zion smiled then shook the extended hand.
"No. I told mom and a friend that I saw you at the shelter and mom said I should invite you out to dinner and I said I would if I met you again."
"So is that the invitation?"
"Wait, I can do this better. Zion, would you and Sky have dinner with me one evening?"
"That's nice of you Rusty. I would and I'm pretty sure that Sky would also. Where and when?" Zion said ignoring a woman who was watching her a short distance away. The woman was on a cell phone telling a friend that she was at that moment within talking distance of Zion. The woman walked up and asked if she could get a picture with Zion on her cell phone. Zion agreed and Rusty took the shot. Then Rusty asked Zion could she get a picture of them together. The woman, using Rusty's phone, took the picture, shook hands with both women and left smiling.
"Well I'm flexible" Rusty said.
"Okay, how about tonight. It'll be good to get out."
They agreed on a place to eat and was to meet at a location that Zion knew the way to without difficulty. And from there Zion would follow in her car. After saying they'd see each other later, Rusty went by the Steak House and made a reservation. She wanted to be sure to get a table away from a lot of traffic. She knew that Zion wouldn't want to be stared at during her meal. Later, they met up as planned and Nancy got to meet Zion and Sky. Rusty decided not to ask a girlfriend to be her date because if the other two regulars found out they would be mad. As expected, someone recognized Zion and the word was spread that she was in the restaurant. But the foursome ate without anyone coming up and asking for pictures or autographs. It was an enjoyable evening.
The next day, Nancy was telling Gayle about having dinner with Zion and Sky. They were having lunch together when Rusty came in. She had been out playing basketball at the playground.
"Rusty, you're too old to be out there still playing ball with the boys" Nancy teased. Rusty was in great shape for a woman in her early forties because she exercised vigoriously four or five times a week. She'd always been athletic since a kid and her mother had tried to get her to stop playing ball with the boys when she was thirteen. Nancy had wanted to see her daughter in dresses and makeup but finally gave up on dolling up Rusty, who preferred to wear sweats most of the year. Even in the summer, Rusty sometimes wore cut off sweat pants and sleeves were cut off the tops. Not that Rusty looked bad in whatever she wore but she seldom went through much effort where clothes were concerned. At dinner the previous evening, Rusty had worn a new pair of black slacks with matching jacket and a white silk blouse with pearl buttons. Her hair, most times in thick braids under a cap or scarf, had been down, combed straight back with the ends curled under. She had worn tiny gold earrings but no makeup. She was stunning and Nancy was proud to be escorted by her daughter.
"It's getting cold out there. It was feeling good earlier but the sky is getting grey. I'm going to take a shower, what's for lunch?" Rusty said kissing her mother's forehead. She touched Gayle on the shoulder as she passed on the way down the hall.
"She exercises and then wants to eat. But it must work because she stays pretty much the same size" Nancy said putting leftovers in the microwave.
"She looks terrific. I try eating more to gain weight and the only exercise I get is from daily regular activities. I've always been kind of on the skinny side.
"You're a nice size girl. Don't you know you're called the trailer court model? I don't see why women are all the time going on about how much they weigh. Some men like small women and some like women that got some meat on their bones. I say as long as a woman is health and feel good about herself, she shouldn't worry so much about her weight. Of course, carrying too much extra can be unhealthy. My daughter seems to like all sizes" Nancy laughed as she made a fresh pot of coffee. She put a couple slices of pie on a saucer and a whipped cream container on the table. Fifteen minutes later, the phone rang just as Rusty was coming down the hall. Rusty set the microwave timer. Nancy told her to hang up the phone after she picked up in her bedroom. Rusty listened for a sec and then hung up the receiver.
"That's Maria, so mom will be a while. Where's Vanessa, with her dad?" Rusty asked and received a nod. She poured coffee for Gayle and herself. The microwave went off and she transferred the food to her plate, said grace silently and began to eat. They made small talk until Rusty finished and was ready for dessert. Before starting she leaned back and stretched her arms wide to get the kinks out of her relaxing muscles. Gayle just stared at her with mouth slightly open. "I think I you're going to like the gift I got for you" Rusty smiled.
"Please don't get me anything. I'm not buying any gifts, just Santa Clause for Vanessa."
"You don't have to give me a gift just because I give you one. Actually, you give me a gift whenever you're here when I come home" Rusty winked and spooned whip cream atop her pie. Gayle dipped an index finger into the cream on the pie and held it out to Rusty who hesitated slightly before accepting the tempting offering. Gayle then slowly slid the digit between her own lips, the whole time staring into Rusty's eyes. Once again Rusty was fighting with herself to stay still. She did like seeing Gayle in her house. She liked having her close even if she had to stay a certain distance from her. To distract herself, she ate her pie and hoped her mom would hurry back and join them.
Christmas day finally arrived. Family came, exchanged gifts, and ate. This day was always fun and hectic. Finally, the house was quiet. Wrapping paper, bows, fruit, candy and open gifts were spread through the living room. The scent of Christmas was in the air. Later that evening, Gayle stopped by with Vanessa to say Merry Christmas. Vanessa had made her gifts in school and Gayle had bought inexpensive frames for each. They would later hang on the bedroom wall of each woman. Gayle gave Nancy a little foot stoot that she had bought at a thrift store. She had sewn a cover for it that blended with the chair that Nancy sat on. She gave Rusty a package of white cotton socks because Nancy had told her that Rusty had wanted someone to give her socks but she never got them as a gift. Rusty had all kinds of socks but she really liked wearing white cotton and went through them fast. Gayle had made a gift card saying she would fix Rusty's hair for New Years. Nancy had bought Vanessa a dress, socks and shoes for Sunday wear. Rusty had bought the girl a sweat suit, socks and tennis shoes. Nancy gave Gayle a microwave and Rusty gave her a bag with several items in it. Rusty whispered for her not to open the boxed one until she got home. Nancy opened the white envelope that had SEASON'S GREETINGS and her name on it. She cried when she opened it and saw a fifty dollar bill and a gift certificate for four brand new auto tires. She just stepped into Rusty's arms and cried full out.
"Come on now, can't have you riding little Vee around on bald tires" Rusty smiled looking at Vanessa who smiled back. Nancy took the girl into her bedroom to hang her gift.
"I give you socks and you give me tires" Gayle sniffed against the shoulder she didn't want to leave.
"Hmm, lady I like the way you say thank you" Rusty said holding the woman tighter. Then all too soon they drew apart. Nancy and Vanessa returned to the room. Nancy asked Gayle to stay a while and watch a movie. Gayle accepted not wanting to leave Rusty yet. So they watched a movie and ate in the livingroom with trays across their laps to hold the plates and drinks. Nancy sat on her chair and Rusty sat on her chair. Gayle was on the sofa and Vanessa was on the floor, but later joined her mother on the sofa. She was asleep by the time the movie ended. Gayle lifted Vanessa who was almost too big for her to carry now. She said good night to Nancy and kissed her on the cheek. Rusty walked them home taking the gifts. Rusty stopped outside the front door.
"Come on in Rusty. You're welcomed in my house", Gayle told her. Rusty was still standing outside the door when Gayle returned from putting Vanessa to bed.
"I'd better not. No point in taking chances" Rusty said handing the packages to Gayle.
"I promise not to jump you. Come on in."
"Somebody might see and it'll get back to your mother. That's the chance I mean."
"I'm not worrying about my mother and neither should you."
"As much as I would like to, I can't. I mean -- I'd better go. Good night Gayle."
"Good night Rusty. Thank you for being a good friend."
"Is something going on between you and Gayle?" Nancy asked when her daughter returned. Rusty mumbled something and went into the kitchen to wash the dishes and put away the left overs. "I think she likes you."
"What's not to like, I'm adorable" Rusty half smiled not looking at her mother.
"She's not married."
"Meaning what?"
"Meaning she's single. Why don't you ask her out? I can tell that you like her."
"So I like her. I like a lot of women. I don't date them all."
"What's wrong. She didn't ask you in. I thought..."
"Mom I carried her bags to the door. That's all."
"I think she's like you. She always asking about you when you're not here. And the way she held on to you tonight. Well I've got the feeling that she really likes you and not just..."
"Drop it mom. She's a friend and a neighbor and she has a mother."
"The other women you date also have mothers and that doesn't stop you. Gayle is a nice girl. Don't you ever think about settling down and stop all this running around with different women. I've heard about that woman Darlene you run around with. She...."
"NO no no. Uh uh. I don't want to hear it. You don't know anything about Darlene so don't tell me what you heard someone else say about her. The same way you are about to repeat gossip about her is the same way people repeat gossip about me. People know my name and that I'm a lesbian but that doesn't mean they know me."
"Okay Rusty, calm down. I didn't mean to upset you. You're right and I'm sorry. I shouldn't repeat what other people say. But you never bring anyone here, so I don't even know if you're really serious about someone or will ever be serious with just one person. Salena..."
"What about Salena?"
"I thought maybe you and Salena -- well I thought there was more between you than...."
'Than? Than what? Have you talked to her?"
"No. Just that when she came back and you to got together again, you seemed different, well happier. And after she left you went back to the same routine. Maria said Salena was dating someone and so, well if you're thinking about her..."
"I'm not thinking about her. I'm not thinking about anybody. I think about the woman I'm with at the time. Beyond that -- well, I don't. I'm tired. I'm going to bed. See you in the morning" Rusty said kissing her mother's cheek and holding her tight.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Rusty gave a party to welcome in the new year with her friends. Several women in her family who enjoyed cooking prepared the food. The restaurant was decorated with festive colors and glitter balls hung from the ceiling. Robin, Gary, Roger, Randy and others from their group attended. Zion and Sky also was there and glad that they were welcomed without a big production. Nancy invited Maria who brought a date, and a few other older family members. Rusty was dancing with her mother when the count down started. Everyone shouted happy new year and Rusty kissed her mother on the lips and told her that she loved her. A few minutes later, Nancy and the older guest left. Rusty had given Darlene and the other two women invitations but Darlene was the only one that came. Rusty had told each to bring a date because she would be mingling and not have time to give them her full attention. And she made it clear that there was to be no jealousy displayed. Neither of them was dating exclusively, and she wanted to include them in her first party. One couldn't make the party and the other had recently gotten a boyfriend and he didn't want to be around the ex-girlfriend. Darlene started not to go but did want to be near Rusty when the new year started but she didn't arrive alone. She had recently met a woman and invited her to the party. Rusty worked the room weaving her way around trying to say hello to everyone. She had invited Gayle and was glad to see her walk in even if she wasn't alone. Rusty had a cousin and one of his friends working the door. Only people with invitations were allowed in. Luckily only a few people showed up that wasn't invited and left quietly when they couldn't enter. Gayle danced with her date. Rusty danced with a couple of people but stayed away from Gayle wondering who the guy was holding her so snuggly. It was the beginning of a new year and everyone had a good time.
New Beginning
"I haven't had time alone with you to say thank you for the secret gift" Gayle smiled when Nancy went to the bathroom. "I used it after midnight and I thought of you."
"Well you probably don't need it now."
"Why do you say that?"
"The guy you brought to the party. The guy who has been to your house every day since then. The guy..."
"He's just a guy my mother thinks I should date."
"So you're dating him to please your mother."
"I'm not dating him. I took him to the party just so my mother would stop bugging me about going to the party by myself. She thought there would be a lot of gay people there because you were giving it. And so I agreed to take Mark. And he's been coming by to see me even though I've repeatedly told him that I wasn't going out with him again."
"So you asked some guy out and now he's interested in you but you were just using him."
"I wasn't using him. He asked me out and so I invited him to the party. He got to go to a party with free food and drinks. Rusty I wanted to be with you that night. In the same space with you and that was a way for me to be there without having my mother nagging me."
"It's none of my business anyway" Rusty said rubbing the middle of her forehead.
"Only in hell is it not. I want you. I'll come to you tonight or you can come to my place. Vanessa is staying with my mother this weekend" Gayle said softly taking a step forward.
"No. I told you I'm not sneaking around with you. That's not how I live my life."
"You know why I can't be open about how I feel about you."
"You'll risk someone seeing you coming to my back door but you'll not risk dating me like you're a grown woman who has a right to be with who you want to be with."
"Damn it Rusty. Am I suppose to make what I feel for you public so that you won't feel bad? What about my life -- my daughter. Yes, I'll risk coming to you at night in the dark because I want you that much. I come to your house when your mother is here and nobody says anything. My mother doesn't like it but she has no proof of anything other than I visit Miss Nancy. I go to work, I visit my mother and occasionally my cousins. I can't be friends with another woman unless she's married and we're not alone. Do you have any idea what it's like to have a life like that. No because you have an accepting mother. Well mine will never accept that her little girl is a lesbian. And she will try to take my daughter from me. I can't put Vanessa through that. Her father might even try to get custody just to keep from paying child support. And I know if he was to get custody that he'll leave Vanessa with his mother because he can barely handle a weekend of taking care of her. You know what, fuck you and fuck them too" Gayle said angrily.
"That's what we can't do" Rusty said flippantly.
"Go to hell Rusty." Gayle said following her down the hall.
"Been there, didn't like it much."
"What is wrong with you? How can you just turn off so easily? I've seen compassion and passion in your eyes then suddenly nothing. You just went blank on me."
"Leave me alone. Shit. When am I going to learn to stay the fuck away from women with complications. Damn it" Rusty said pushing the door closed and then sitting on the bed. Gayle pushed the door open and stood looking around the room. She saw framed pictures and pencil sketches and that would fall under the category of art. An entertainment center was between a filled bookcase and shelves filled with video tapes. A chair was beside the tall dresser which top was covered with vases (none matched) and at least three jewelry cases. And on a wall shelf was a collection of ceramic eggs. On another was a collection of action figures and disney characters. Gayle looked at the woman sitting on the bed and started to laugh. This room was nothing like she had imagined it would be. Rusty had many interest. She stood in front of Rusty until she looked up at her. Rusty didn't resist when gentle hands pulled her head against Gayles torso. She closed her eyes and just inhaled the light fragrance. Gayle eased the woman back and crawled up her slightly until their lips met. Rusty moaned but then sat up quickly lifting Gayle with ease until they were both standing.
"Rusty."
"Gayle we can't. One of us has to be sensible."
"Your mother won't care, she likes me. No one else will know."
"Gayle it's not worth the risk. Go home and play with the toy I bought you. And think of me. A skin-on-skin fuck ain't worth messing up your life over."
"Why do I see fire in your eyes one minute and then nothing the next? With one look you make me want to strip and then you fade on me. Why won't you let me love you?"
"You don't need me screwing up your life."
"How is spending one night together going to ...."
"I don't just want you for a damn night. You can't be with me openly and I can sneak around. So there is no point in continuing this."
"Why are you so adamant about us not being together unless people know? It's nobody elses business Rusty."
"Look, it's not about people knowing. It's about not hiding. I've been going through shit most of my life because I'm a lesbian. I knew when I was a kid and finally reached a point where I couldn't keep it hidden. I had girlfriends but I had to be careful. A couple of mothers didn't like that I was dating their daughters. Then I fell in love and she loved me and didn't care who knew it and then she died. I'm past playing with women in the dark who won't acknowledge me in the daylight."
"I've never seen any of your women come to this house. So how open is your relationships with them?"
"Just because I don't bring them home doesn't mean we're hiding. I go out to public places with women who don't care who sees us together no matter what our relationship is -- romantic or platonic."
"And what about Salena. Was she just convenient in-house pussy?"
"I'm not going to discuss her with you."
"You said you wanted more than one night with me. Is that true Rusty?"
"See, that's how some of you women are, you want me but only on your terms. No, don't say it because I understand. I like you and I would like to get to know you better. But we can't be anymore to each other than neighbors and friends. Neither of us are teens with raging hormones that make us lose our senses. Okay, we have raging hormones, but we're not teens", Rusty said smiling. Gayle stepped into her arms and kissed her tenderly.
"You're right of course. And thank you for not taking advantage of my raging hormones."
When they walked down the hall, Nancy was in the living room watching tv. Gayle simply wave slightly before leaving. Rusty sat on her chair and reached for the remote. Neither of them said anything but Nancy was itching to ask questions.

Neither of them said anything but Nancy was itching to ask questions.

celebrities, appraisers, teachers, CEOs, foreclosure victims, bankers, construction workers, stock brokers, nurses, politicians, real estate agents, and you. Think about the power that together (as a diverse group) we hold. Spread The Reveal with all whom you know. Spread the word that it's time for something fantastic to happen.
Throughout The Reveal, I share my thoughts on topics such as the United States, technology, explosions, better education, sustainable energy, greed, employment, a vast maglev bullet train system, love, real estate, politics, and the future. Each section is broken into parts, feel free to browse to the chapter of the story that most peaks your interest.
All Las Vegas stuff (including Aaron's Annual Thoughts - 2009, important news, and a photo of my newly-earned "Einstein Hairs") can be found at the links at the bottom. Oh, a big thanks to Mark Adams - Creator of VegasTodayAndTomorrow.com for not making our "Tunnels under Vegas" page on time. Sorry everyone, Mark was too busy attending the opening gala at Encore (must be nice!). All kidding aside, Mark promises to get the page done.
Together, let's address truths with the hopes of reminding people about the basics of life (survival), obtaining security and savings (safety), the importance of establishing a community (social), the ambition to excel (recognition), and finally, infusing communication and knowledge to create opportunity for self and others (a power obtained by those who self-actualize). At least that's how I apply Abraham Maslow's "Hierarchy of Needs" to my life. It's my hope that The Reveal reminds people of the instinct within themselves and what we need to do to move forward.
Funny - just as my business partner Jason and I thought we were all sophisticated by learning to become "self-actualizers", the other night, Jason shot me a message on AIM that said, "I just discovered on Wikipedia that before he died, Maslow revealed a new level of awareness called Self-Transcendence. Those who reach this final level of the hierarchy are called 'Transcenders'." - When does possibility end? I think we all know the answer.
Google "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs" if you want to learn more.
No playing the victim - We got ourselves here - Let's now focus on community and solutions.
The blame game must stop. We as a human race got ourselves into this mess. Ever hear of the term "Guilty by Association"? If you're human, then you're guilty. You're even more at fault if you don't take action towards finding solutions. Negativity is contagious, currently, the world has it all over itself. How do we get it off? By accepting responsibility, stopping the blaming of others, being at peace with life, being positive, finding solutions, creating a community, and spreading good word.
In 2009, community is going to be as powerful a concept as it has ever been. It's happening with the Internet, it's happening in business, and it's even happening in politics (although politics have a long way to go). We're living in the information age, those who aren't in touch with themselves and the pulse of the new world will fail miserably. The sharing of information has become mainstream. Mankind must learn to communicate on deeper levels moving forward. We must implement a MySpace, Twitter, and Facebook mentality into our offline lives.
Give Give Give. Practice stewardship. Introduce people, shake hands, do not horde. Greed is what got the world into the place it's in now. Introduce your contacts, share your network, build your community. By sharing what you learn, you lead and create a foundation. With that mindset, we'll be well prepared as people to improve our tendencies.
This is history in the making. We need not let the current global crisis destroy who we are as a human race, but instead, let it define us. Even if we lose everything, this is a key time in human evolution where we can set better standards for future generations when it comes to acceptance of our fellow human, regardless of their color, beliefs, or upbringing. Not black and white, not Russian and American, not Wall Street and Washington - instead, humans who work together to care for their planet, which sits as a mote of dust when compared to the billions upon billions of far larger planets and stars in the universe (Watch Carl Sagan's three-minute video in the links section to remember where and who we are).
Through community, we improve our chances of fighting corruption, finding cures to diseases, ending world hunger, creating better health-care, and inventing new technologies which offer hope for a healthier, more sustainable planet for our children.
Freedom is created by those whom live life with a wider-world agenda.
Imagine this...Rather, believe.
The Earth's age is estimated at 4.5 billion years old. Dinosaurs lived on the planet for approx. 160 million years. The oldest Homo sapien fossils are said to be just approx. 200,000 years old. It was Cowboys and Indians just approx. 150 years ago. The first airplane flew approx. 100 years ago. Today, the Stealth Bomber could already be argued as old.
Currently, Intel's 3.2 Ghz Core i7 Nehelem claims to be the fastest processor in the world. Its core is 45 nanometers - thinner than a sheet of paper. In comparison, when Nasa sent the first man to the moon, the Apollo Guidance Computer's CPU was running at approx. 2 Mhz and was as thick as a stack of paper. It takes 1000 Mhz to make 1 Ghz. Essentially, today's multi-core CPUs are running thousands of times faster, yet are astronomically smaller. An example? The iPhone is more powerful than a computer that would have taken up an entire apartment building just 50 years ago.
Is anyone watching Microsoft's and Sonys dashboard changes on XBOX and Playstation? The key words are community and interaction. The Internet is currently on what's called Web 2.0. The goal of Web 3.0 is to continue forward with interaction. Imagine an Internet where you didn't even rely on a keyboard and mouse to browse. Instead, you simply used your hands to move things around on your screen, walked through 3D stores and dragged items off the rack and rotated and zoomed (like an iPhone), dropped items into your instant messenger to see if your friend liked them, then purchased the items by sliding them into your basket and tapping the purchase button.
Could you imagine? Your 27" screen using Nanotechnology (Google it) so it goes from stiff to soft, allowing you to fold it up and throw it into your pocket. After all, how dare you shop at Macy's while you're sitting at your kids soccer game?
It's said that the next generation space telescope (Hubble's replacement) may attempt to see beyond our known universe. For those who aren't science savvy, there's currently no such thing as "beyond our universe". What will we find? Just imagine how much exciting stuff is going to happen as technology leapfrogs itself over the next decade or two.
When I imagine Las Vegas' long-term possibilities, I get goosebumps. This is a magical city. Patience is a virtue, positioning is everything.
Where do you stand? What can you imagine? In what greatness do you believe?
I've been workin on the maglev railroad, all the way into the sustainable future?
When President Roosevelt took office, the first 100 days of his presidency focused on creating a number of new programs (aimed at stimulating the economy out of the Great Depression). Are we on the verge of the biggest government stimulus action since the New Deal of 1933? While we as taxpayers first need to know there are safeguards and where our money is going, President-elect Barack Obama's economic stimulus plan (one which some say could reach one trillion dollars and be signed in his first two weeks in office) is said to be aimed at rebuilding infrastructure, creating sustainable energy, improving technology in healthcare, refurbishing schools, and also investing into mass transit. Several areas where America needs help.
Mass transit, as in sustainable bullet trains? I believe (along with many of my local colleagues) that the proposed bullet train from Anaheim to Las Vegas has the potential to create fantastic opportunity. Recently, it was revealed that the governors of California and Nevada have agreed to work towards making the train a reality (which could whisk people back and forth in approx. 90 minutes). Should the Anaheim to Vegas maglev bullet train receive funds from Obama's economic stimulus plan, it seems possible that the project could start fairly quickly, costing approx. $12-$13 billion and taking approx. 10 years to build. I talk more in depth about how this could affect Las Vegas and Nevada in my Aaron's Annual Thoughts - 2009 article (in the links section below).
Perhaps this could kick off the building of eco-friendly bullet trains all over the United States? Eventually becoming a vast system that is great for job growth, industry, and pollution solutions? New York to Malibu in less than a day by ground? Sounds fun!
Get involved - Be the Hero of Ground Zero.
Most people (likely including yourself), have been at some kind of Ground Zero. I hope that everyone who's experienced challenge can (if even for an evening with the family) put the current economic crisis aside and remember to be thankful. Rather than taking the tempting road and saying, "Easy for you to say, you didn't blah blah blah" - instead, be accountable. If you're angry at someone because you assume they don't understand your pain, ask yourself, is it possible that's an issue you could better deal with internally? If Randy Pausch could do push ups, laugh, and inspire - knowing that he had 6 months to live - your problems probably aren't worse. It's not the action, it's the reaction.
Let me tell you two quick stories:
For approx. 15 years, I watched my father battle a killer disease. On many occasions, I remember ambulances coming to my home because he couldn't breathe, me a little boy scared that his father was going to die. He passed away in 1996 as strong-minded as ever. The evening he passed away, my family and I felt at peace where this man was going. A positive reaction (as opposed to us being angry at the world).
When I was 20, I survived a 6.7-magnitude earthquake, one that was felt as far as 250 miles away and one that took many lives (I lived at Ground Zero - just 5 or so miles from the epicenter). It was pitch black outside (4:31 AM). What started with a giant roll, turned into a 30-second, vertically-pounding, freeway-collapsing nightmare. When it stopped, there was a huge gas explosion (near my house) which shot approx. 100-foot flames into the air (and burned down homes). With people screaming, power lines zapping, fires burning, and aftershocks striking, my young friends and I grabbed flashlights, ran into destroyed homes, and rescued families (including my own).
A few hours later, my friend Shawn and I stood witness to an apartment building further collapsing on top of its first floor. We heard cries as many died. The point is, many of us have faced adversity, including putting our own lives on the line. From 18-year-old war heroes to business professionals who did not fall victim to corruption and greed, many of us have something of which to be proud.
This is my 2nd time at Ground Zero of a catastrophe. Just like the first time, instead of running away, I've stayed brave for my family and my clients. I'm right here, and have no intention of going anywhere except for up. I know from experience, and what my grandmother used to tell me, "And this too shall pass".
I encourage everyone to become a Hero of Ground Zero.
Humans are the only animals on Earth who can comprehend planning for their future.
In case you didn't read the intro, I didn't write The Reveal with political bias or to say this or that is fact. I'm not a scientist nor do I have an opinion when it comes to man's impact on global warming or climate change. I do, however, believe we can improve the way we treat our planet and its inhabitants.
The other night, I watched Leonardo DiCaprio's documentary - The 11th Hour. Below is some information I learned from watching (and some stuff I just know from reading).
If Earth's existence began on the first day of the year, humans time on the planet would equate to only approx. the last 15 minutes of the last day of the year. As humans, we're the only animal on the planet that can easily communicate and think intelligently to plan for our future.
Per the time comparison in The 11th Hour, Homo sapiens have only been on the planet for approx. 15 out of 525,600 minutes. For approx. 200 thousand years, Homo sapiens simply survived off of current sunlight (ex: the growth of fields created food for the animals, then we ate the animals and made our clothing out of them. We used wood for light and warmth, etc.) A few thousands years ago, Homo sapiens started discovering pockets of ancient sunlight such as coal and oil (300-400 million years old). Prior to 1800 AD, the Homo sapien population never surpassed one billion. By 1930 AD, our population hit two billion (taking just 130 years to double what took approx. 200 thousand years to create). Our third billion only took 30 years (1960). As of 2009, our population is approx. 6.7 billion - double of what it was when John F. Kennedy was inaugurated. The population is expected to hit 9 billion by approx. 2040.
Everyday, we pump toxins into our oceans yet are over fishing the sea life population, robbing the oceans of what they need to sustain, while loading them with poisons that have been linked to many of today's health problems. Slowly, warnings that some fish contain high levels of mercury are becoming more commonplace. Recently, actor Jeremy Piven became ill after having a mercury level six times that of what's considered normal (he was eating sushi up to twice a day). According to some info from the web, mercury is finding its way into our oceans from industrial sources who've yet to upgrade to (more expensive) green technology.
Think about that, we pump toxins into our ocean, then eat the fish? Isn't it time we asked for more?

Do you prefer unemployment and a bad marriage or wealth, security, and a healthy relationship? Just remember, if you want something, go get it the first time. Don't hawk, don't stalk, just walk. Meaning, walk straight up to what you want and get it. If you don't, you'll live a life of misery and regret - What if you would have asked for that raise? What if that person in isle 9 was your soul mate? What if you could have become President?

Overview
1. On December 31, the fifth day of Operation Cast Lead, the air force attacked more than 50 targets in the Gaza Strip. The targets attacked included rocket launcher squads, armed operatives, and a mosque that served for weapons storage and from the vicinity of which rockets were fired at Israel (secondary explosions in the mosque were evidence of the large amount of ammunition stored there). Since the start of the military operation, the air force has attacked over 500 targets belonging to Hamas and the other terrorist organizations. 2. At the same time, on December 31, rocket and mortar shell fire continued at a similar scale to that of the previous day. The rockets landed in Beersheba, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Netivot, Sderot and other communities. In Beersheba, at the outer range of the rockets, five rockets landed. One of them was a direct hit on a school (where classes were not being held at the time). A total of 312 rockets and mortars have landed during the operation (as of December 31).
3. Israel, in cooperation with international aid organizations, is continuing to make every effort to enable humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. Over the last day, 93 trucks carrying food and medicine passed into the Gaza Strip from Israel through the Keren Shalom Crossing. A large amount of humanitarian aid also reaches the Gaza Strip from the Arab and Muslim world via the Rafah Crossing. According to reports coming from the Gaza Strip itself, there is a sufficient stock of food and drugs there, and there is no humanitarian crisis.
4. Five days after the start of the operation, it appears that it is still far from over. The IDF is prepared to expand and intensify its activity in the Gaza Strip, including a ground operation against Hamas, when the order is given to do so by the political echelon. To date Israel has not accepted the ideas and proposals that have been raised for a unilateral ceasefire, as they hold no assurance that Hamas will cease the rocket fire and that Operation Cast Lead will achieve its goal of substantially changing the security situation in southern Israel .
Assaults on Terrorist Targets, December 31
Overview
5. On December 31, the air force attacked over 50 targets in the Gaza Strip . The targets of the attacks, according to IDF Spokesman announcements, included arms production sites, Hamas outposts, rocket launchers, launch squads, armed operatives, and launch sites. Also attacked were government buildings and symbols of Hamas' administration. Among other targets was a mosque that served for arms storage. In this case, as in other cases, the many secondary explosions testified to a large quantity of ammunition stored in the site attacked. In all, since the beginning of Operation Cast Lead, the Air Force has carried out over 500 sorties, in which over 500 targets of Hamas and the other terrorist organizations have been attacked.
Attacks on Military and Security Infrastructure,
Administration Facilities and Symbols of Hamas and
Other Terrorist Organizations
6. Following is a summary of the outcome of the assaults on December 31, based on announcements by the IDF Spokesman and information that appeared in the Palestinian media:
a. Mosque that served as a storehouse for armaments: the Air Force attacked a mosque that served as an arms storage place and from which terrorist activity was launched, in the Tel El-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City . The strike caused a long series of secondary explosions from armaments and ammunition that were stored in the mosque (including rockets, some of which were long-range Grad rockets). The raid took place following intelligence received over the past days indicating that many fighting operations were being launched out of and in the vicinity of the mosque . These operations included storing weapons, firing rockets into Israeli territory (including fire on the morning of December 31), and a hiding place for terror operatives (IDF Spokesman, December 31).
b. Administration facilities and symbols of authority: The Air Force attacked legislative council buildings and the justice ministry in Gaza City, on the night of December 31.
c. Tunnels: The IDF continued attacking the tunnel infrastructure. Five tunnels used by Hamas for smuggling, among other things, were targeted.
d. Production site and armaments storage in the center of the Gaza Strip: A tunnel had been dug under the site.
e. A Hamas outpost in Rafah and a coastal security outpost near Gaza City .

7. According to the Palestinian press, many other sites were hit as well, including:
f. The ASIDAA communications complex in Khan Yunis.
g. The house of an Izz al-din al-Qassam Brigades operative, Anas Abu Shabana, in the Al Shabura neighborhood of Rafah.
h. The house of a Hamas operative, Fawzi Abu El-Naja, in the Al-Bala'wi refugee camp.
i. The house of a senior Izz al-din al-Qassam Brigades operative, Zahar Al-Farah, in the Bena'a refugee camp in Rafah.
j. The house of a senior Izz al-din al-Qassam Brigades operative, Abu Jibril Al Shamali, in the Al Brazeil neighborhood of Gaza .
k. The house of a senior Izz al-din al-Qassam Brigades operative, Rafa Salama, in Gaza .
l. The house of a senior Popular Resistance Committees operative, Hassan Nasman.
m. The Al-Katiba center in Khan Yunis, which serves as a national security outpost.
n. A money-exchange office in Gaza .
o. A lathe shop where armaments were manufactured in Khan Yunis.
Hamas official Abd al-Qader Nizar Ghayan was killed
8. On December 31, the Air Force attacked the house of Abd al-Qader Nizar Ghayan in the Jabaliya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. After the strike, many secondary explosions were identified. Hamas' Palestine-info website reported that Nizar Ghayan was killed along with his family. His home served as an arms storehouse ; and underneath it was a tunnel for extricating terror operatives belonging to Hamas' military wing (IDF Spokesman, January 1).
9. Nizar Ghayan was a high official in the Hamas leadership and one of its extremists. He was involved in the military set-up of the Izz al-din al-Qassam Brigades. He was 49 years old and had four wives. Nizar Ghayan sent one of his sons to carry out a suicide attack on the Eli Sinai settlement (October 2001) in which two Israelis were murdered.

Palestinian casualties
10. According to Palestinian reports, so far some 400 Palestinians have been killed and 1,900 wounded . Most of the casualties in the IDF attacks were terrorist operatives . Some of the casualties in the attacks were civilians, who were in or near buildings or facilities belonging to the terrorist organizations.
Israeli measures to prevent harm to the civilian population
11. In the course of Operation Cast Lead, Israel has taken a number of measures aimed at preventing, insofar as possible, harm to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip and at focusing the Air Force strikes on terror facilities and operatives. In this context, messages with the following gist were conveyed to the residents of Gaza :
a. The IDF is acting only against the terrorist organizations.
b. The IDF will target any person or building where arms or ammunition are located.
c. Anyone whose house is concealing armaments must evacuate the house.
12. These messages were conveyed in a number of manners, including dropping notices, temporarily overriding the local radio station frequencies serving the Palestinian terror organizations, and sending messages to residents by telephone. Regarding the latter method, the IDF has made approximately 100,000 phone calls so far (IDF Spokesman, December 31).
Intensive rocket and mortar shell firing continues
13. On the fifth day of the operation, the firing of rockets and mortars at Israel continued at a rate similar to the previous day. During December 31, 43 rocket landings were identified and 25 mortars were fired. The rockets were aimed at Beersheba, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Netivot, Sderot, and other communities near the Gaza Strip. Most of the firing was done by Hamas . Following are the main incidents:
a. Beersheba : Five rockets fell during the day in the city of Beersheba, at the outer range of the rockets. One of them landed in a school in a city neighborhood, ripping a hole in the ceiling of one of the classrooms. The building suffered extensive damage. Eight people were stricken with severe anxiety and sent to the hospital.
b. Ashkelon: Three rockets landed in Ashkelon ; a few civilians were stricken with severe anxiety.
c. Sderot and other communities in the western Negev also took rocket landings.
14. On Thursday, January 1, the firing continued. In the afternoon, a rocket scored a direct hit on the top floor of an apartment building in Ashdod, and fire broke out in the building. The rocket damaged an electric power line and there was a power outage in the area. Some 30 people suffered severe anxiety and were treated on site. Two more rockets landed in open areas in Ashkelon ; there were no casualties and no damages.
Rocket landings and mortar fire during Operation Cast Lead
Beersheba as a target of long-range rocket fire
15. Starting December 30, the fourth day of Operation Cast Lead, the city of Beersheba was also brought into the circle of rocket fire for the first time. The rockets fired at the city were of the standard 122-mm Grad type, whose range is approximately 40 km . To date seven rockets have landed in Beersheba and its environs. Due to the firing at Beersheba the Home Front Command decided to expand the area in which a special situation has been declared.
16. On December 30, close to 9:00 p.m., a rocket landed in a kindergarten in one of the Beersheba city neighborhoods, causing damage. No children were on site due to the late hour. A civilian close to the location was slightly injured and a few other people suffered shock.
17. On December 31, at 8:45 a.m., a rocket landed on a school in one of the city neighborhoods. As a result, a hole with a diameter of about one and half meters was ripped in the ceiling of one of the classrooms. The building suffered severe damage. Studies were not taking place in the school due to an earlier decision by the Home Front Command and Beersheba 's mayor. A few more rockets landed throughout the city and its outskirts; there were no casualties and no damage.
18. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (January 1) and Defense Minister Ehud Barak (December 31) visited the school that was damaged. During their visit, Ehud Barak said that Israel will continue to intensify the operation until it achieves the goals for whose sake it was started (Ynet, December 31).
The transfer of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip
Overview
19. Throughout Operation Cast Lead, Israel has seen to the continuous transfer of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip. This aid includes food, drugs and medical equipment. Israel allows an average of 90 trucks per day to cross. In addition, Egypt allows the transfer of humanitarian aid and the evacuation of wounded for treatment in Egypt, through the Rafah Crossing.
20. On January 1, 2009, UNWRA is expected to begin distributing food for some 750,000 Palestinians who will arrive at aid centers in the Gaza Strip. The agencies reported that according to their information, the Rafah Crossing is expected to remain open to meet the Palestinians' needs (Al Arabiya TV, December 31). The Red Cross reported on the organization's website (December 31) that the situation in Shifa Hospital in Gaza has stabilized, and that it has most of the required medicines and equipment in stock. The United Nations Food Program (UFP) also reported that its organization does not intend to bring additional food into Gaza, since its warehouses are full. England also transferred a total of $10 billion in urgent aid consisting of food and gasoline (Reuters, December 31).
Continued humanitarian aid arriving from Israel
21. On December 31, Israel allowed the transfer of 93 trucks carrying humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom Crossing. Civilians posing humanitarian cases also continue to be allowed into Israel, through the Erez Crossing. On December 31, 12 wounded people from the Gaza Strip, including two children, were moved through the Erez crossing to receive medical attention in Israel .
22. Since the beginning of the operation, Israel has transferred over 6,500 tons of food and humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. Israel allows the transfer of all required aid by the aid organizations and donor countries.
The transfer of Arab aid and wounded through the Rafah crossing
23. The Arab and Muslim countries are continuing to collect and transfer humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Following is a summary of the humanitarian aid that was sent to Gaza on December 31, and is expected arrive within the next few days:
a. Saudi Arabia : 25 tons of medicine were transferred by Saudi Arabia to the Gaza Strip. The Saudi Health Ministry announced that there is a technical problem in transferring units of blood from Saudi Arabia to the Gaza Strip, and that the medical services in Gaza informed them that there is no problem finding donors. As per the request of the Palestinians in Gaza, Saudi Arabia will send empty bags for units of blood. On December 31, Saudi Arabia also dispatched two planes carrying 20 tons of drugs and medical equipment. These planes are expected to return bringing wounded Palestinians to receive medical treatment in Saudi Arabia (Al-Shark Al-Awsat, December 31).
b. Iran : The Iranian Health Minister met with a Hamas representative in Iran, Abu Asamah Almaty, and told him that hundreds of doctors and nurses in Iran have expressed their willingness to leave for the Gaza Strip. According to him, Iran 's medical delegations have failed in their attempts to enter the Gaza Strip, due to Egypt 's closure of the border. He also said that Iran is willing to accept wounded from the Gaza Strip, and that a special center has been set up to collect food and medical equipment for the Gaza Strip (IRNA, December 31).
c. Egypt : Four tons of medicine from the Red Cross in Egypt has been transferred into the Gaza Strip. Over the past 24 hours, about 25 wounded have been moved into Egypt through the Rafah Crossing. The head of the crossings in the Palestinian Embassy in Egypt said that few patients have been transferred because there are not enough ambulances to transport the wounded from the Gaza Strip into Egypt (Pal-Press, December 31).
d. Jordan : Jordan sent another aid convoy on December 31. Jordan also announced that it is willing to accept Palestinian wounded (Jordanian News Agency, December 31). Jordan 's aid convoys pass through Israel to reach the
Gaza Strip.
e. Libya : Libya transferred ten ambulances and 25 tons of medicine.
Confrontations continue between Palestinians
and Egyptian security forces
24. Confrontations between Palestinians and the Egyptian security forces continued along the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. On December 31, an Egyptian police officer was wounded in Rafah from shooting that came from the Palestinian side. A mortar shell and a hand grenade were also found in the area during searches carried out by the Egyptian forces (Middle Eastern News Agencies, December 31).
25. Egypt detained some 50 Hamas operatives who infiltrated into Egypt, and they are now being interrogated. This is in relation to the death of an Egyptian officer on December 28 (Al Masri Al Yom, December 31). In the past few days, the Egyptian security forces have been hunting for Hamas operatives who infiltrated into Egypt . The Egyptian security forces have called upon local residents not to provide assistance to the infiltrators or shelter them in their homes (Al-Ahram, December 31).
Protest actions and disturbances have dwindled
in Judah and Samaria
26. In Judah and Samaria, there has been a decline in the extent of the disturbances and confrontations between Palestinians and the Israel security forces that started at the beginning of Operation Cast Lead. At the beginning of the operation, a general strike was declared in all the Judah and Samaria cities, but in the past couple of days a trend of returning to normal life has commenced. On December 31, there were a few protest rallies in West Bank cities, but no special confrontations or clashes with the Israeli security forces were noted. On December 31, no attempts were made to carry out terrorist attacks in Judah and Samaria .
Selection of Reactions
Hamas and the other terrorist organizations
27. Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas administration, who during these past days has refrained from appearing in public, gave a recorded speech he read out from a written page (Al Aqsa channel, December 31). The gist of his speech: Israel is waging a war of destruction against the Palestinian people and harming civilians, particularly children (Hamas denies that most of those killed are terrorist operatives 1); Gaza is not isolated, as evidenced by the demonstrations being carried out on its behalf throughout the Arab world and the humanitarian aid that the Arab states are trying to transfer; the in Gaza illustrates the need for national internal-Palestinian reconciliation and dialogue, based on releasing political prisoners from the jails of the Palestinian Authority. Haniyeh said that the Israeli attacks must be stopped immediately without prior conditions and the crossings must be opened . According to him, only after that will it be possible to hold discussions on all the topics on the agenda.
28. Following are some subjects raised in announcements made by the Hamas spokesman and the spokesmen of other terrorist organizations in the past two days:
a. Messages of deterring the IDF from entering the Gaza Strip : The Izz al-din al-Qassam Brigades have a large number of female suicide bombers ready to sacrifice themselves in the event that the IDF decides to enter the Gaza Strip in a ground operation (Al Aqsa channel, December 30). Thousands of well-trained fighters, armed with weapons and supplies, including antitank weapons and a large quantity of explosive devices, are entrenching themselves in the northern and eastern Gaza Strip in high preparedness for the Israel ground action. The organizations are working out of a joint war room, according to an orderly work plan, which includes a division of responsibility by regions and streets (Abu Abir, Spokesman of the Popular Resistance Committees, Quds Press Agencies, December 31). Abdullah Shami, an official of the PIJ, warned that the various organizations have armaments, capability, forces and high morale, and are ready for any ground assault (Algerian daily Al-Shuruq, December 31).
b. Hamas is demanding a unilateral cessation of the Israeli assault and the opening of the crossings as a precondition for a lull in the fighting : Hamas announced that any Arab or international intervention must be based on the cessation of aggression, lifting the siege, and opening all the crossings ( Palestine info, December 31). Hamas official Iman Taha said that if any kind of a proposal for a ceasefire is presented to Hamas, they will consider it: We support any initiative for immediately ceasing the aggression and fully lifting the blockade (Reuters, December 31). Hamas refuses a lull in the fighting with Israel that does not include opening the crossings to the Gaza Strip (Al Hayat, December 31). Russian Foreign Minister Serge Lavrov said that in a telephone conversation with the head of the Hamas political bureau, Khaled Mashal, the latter told him that Hamas is willing to stop its attacks on condition that the siege on Gaza is ended (French News Agencies, December 31).
c. Conveying a (false) message of business as usual : A Hamas police spokesman, Islam Shahwan, gave an interview to Al Aqsa radio staff (December 31), in which he said that the police are continuing to function as usual and that its people are continually at their place of work, as per instructions from police headquarters. Shahwan specified that police activity in ongoing in the criminal realm, including arresting drug dealers and thieves. However, he added, the police's job is also to maintain and defend the internal front, in order to protect our brothers the resistance fighters [terrorist operatives] and keep them from despairing
Poster from the Izz al-din al-Qassam Brigades forum on December 27: The title reads: At your command, Al Aqsa. Underneath is written We will build a bridge [to Al Aqsa] built from the skulls of the sons of Zion.
Egypt
Call for the Security Council to convene
29. The Egyptian Minister of Defense, Ahmed Abu Algheit, said that it was decided at a meeting of the Arab foreign ministers to ask the Security Council to convene immediately. The goal is get a resolution passed for the cessation of the Israeli actions, opening of the crossings, and lifting of the blockade (Al Jazeera, December 31). The Egyptian ambassador to the UN announced that he had submitted a draft proposal for the resolution to the Security Council on behalf of the Arab states, including an immediate ceasefire, opening the transit points, transferring humanitarian and economic aid, restoring the lull in the fighting and continuing the peace process (Egyptian satellite television, January 1). A UN spokesperson said that the Security Council would meet on the night of January 1 to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip behind closed doors (French News Agency, December 31).
Pulling the Al Manar TV channel off the Egyptian satellite?
30. The Iranian television channel Alalam quoted Egyptian media sources as saying that Israel had directed an official request to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to ban broadcasts by the Al Manar channel on the Egyptian communications satellite. This comes in wake of Hassan Nasrallah's last speech, in which he called for a popular uprising against the Egyptian regime (El Nashra website, Lebanon, December 30).
31. Broadcasts by the Hezbollah television station, including harsh words of incitement against the Egyptian government, were indeed aired to the Arab/Muslim world and many other countries by the Nilesat satellites (under Egyptian control) and Arabsat (an Arab satellite in which Saudi Arabia plays a dominant part). The meaning of being aided by these satellites is that Egypt and Saudi Arabia are helping disseminate Hezbollah's incitement broadcasts that draw inspiration from Iran and are directed against not only Israel but also their own governments and those in other pro-Western Arab states. Al Manar transmissions are also being distributed by an Indonesian communications satellite 2.
1 Hamas intelligence sources are even employing psychological warfare, saying that the Izz al-din al-Qassam Brigades have succeeded, supposedly, in deceiving Israel by supplying false targets, the bombing of which has not impaired the ability of the (Al-Majd, the website of Hamas' interior security mechanism, December 31).
2 See our information bulletin: Communications and terrorism: Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV channel has started broadcasting via an Indonesian satellite, after being taken off a Thai satellite. The Indonesian satellite covers East Asia, China, and Australia . Indonesia is a Muslim country, making it more difficult for the international community to fight the incitement aired by Hezbollah [backed by Iran ] (September 4, 2008).

Christmas season. Then the next time I come in here, Ill expect you to treat me with some respect. Do you even realize what Ive done for this park so far? Seriously. Take a chill pill.
She stopped speaking when she realized that he had gone completely quiet. She held her breath, wondering when the next explosion was going to come. Instead, he sat down abruptly and waved her back to her chair.
Very good. You passed the test, he said, picking up a pen.
What test? she asked, edging her way back into the chair.
The ultimate test. Youre going to be one of Santas elves.
t Santa, you know, have his own elves? she asked, still not sure that he was completely in charge of his senses.
Of course Santa has his own elves. However, when hes here at The Zone we supply him with courtesy elves so that they can continue making toys at the North Pole, Mr. Peterson told her.
So, Im going to be a courtesy elf? she asked.
He nodded and handed her a single sheet of paper. Sign this.
She took it. What? Just one thing to sign? She had expected another huge stack of forms that would leave her hand cramped for hours afterward.
He nodded curtly. re now in our system as a regular seasonal employee. All of your other paperwork transfers.
Regular seasonal sounded like some kind of contradiction to her, but she was still not entirely convinced his outburst had been a test. She scanned it, signed her name, and then handed it back to him.
Good. Report to wardrobe on Saturday for your costume fitting, he said.
Okay, thank you, she said, standing up and backing toward the door.
Welcome back, Candy, he said, smiling faintly.
she said, before bolting out the door.
As soon as she was outside the building, she whipped out her cell phone and called her friend Josh, a fellow employee of The Zone.
he asked when he picked up.
I think Mr. Peterson has seriously lost it, she said. He totally flipped out on me.
Josh laughed. Let me guess. Youre going to be an elf.
So he was serious? That was some whacked-out test?
Yeah. Elves are considered a class-one stress position, and it can get pretty intense.
How hard can it be to be an elf? she asked.
She was rewarded by a burst of laughter on the other end.
Josh, what is it youre not telling me?
He just kept laughing.
Okay, seriously. You were the one who convinced me to work Holly Daze. I think its only fair you tell me whatever it is I need to know.
he gasped. She wasnt sure if he was apologizing or refusing to tell her.
A girl bounced around the corner and slammed into Candace.
Josh, Ill call you later, she said, hanging up.
Becca apologized.
Becca was one of Candaces other friends from the park, one who had some sort of bizarre allergy to sugar that made her uncontrollably hyper. Candace looked suspiciously at Becca. Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes were glistening, and she was hopping from one foot to the other.
You didnt have sugar, did you? Candace asked, fear ripping through her.
No! Promise, Becca said.
Then what gives?
Roger made me laugh really hard, Becca explained.
Roger had a crush on Becca and had wanted to ask her out since Halloween. It hadnt happened yet.
was all Candace could think to say.
So, are you working Holly Daze? Becca asked.
Yeah. Im going to be an elf.
Suddenly, Becca went completely still, and the smile left her face. m sorry, she said.
Candace asked.
Becca just shook her head. ve gotta get back to the Muffin Mansion. Ill catch you later.
She hurried off, and Candace watched her go. Okay, now I know theres something -people arent telling me.
She debated about following Becca and forcing her to spill, but instead she headed for the parking lot where her best friend Tamara was waiting. She walked through the Exploration Zone, one of the several themed areas in the park.
The Zone theme park was created and owned by John
Hanson, a former professional quarterback who believed in healthy competition at work and play. His theme park had several areas, or zones, where -people could compete with each other and themselves at just about anything. Almost everyone who worked at The Zone was called a referee. The exceptions were the costumed characters called mascots. Most of them, including Candaces boyfriend, Kurt, were to be found in the History Zone. -People visiting the park were called players, and the areas of the park they could reach were called on field. Only refs could go off field.
Candace cut through an off field area to get to the referee parking lot. She waved at a few other -people she recognized from her time spent working there. Finally, she slid into her friends waiting car.
So are you going to be the Christmas queen? Tamara asked.
What am I, Lucy VanPelt? Theres no Christmas queen in Charlie Browns Christmas play, and theres no Christmas queen in The Zone, Candace said.
Tamara fake pouted. Are you sure? I think Id make a beautiful Christmas queen.
Candace laughed. Tamara was gorgeous, rich, and fun. Her whole family practically redefined the word wealthy, and, with her dark hair and olive skin, Tamara was usually the prettiest girl in any room. She didnt let it go to her head, though. Anybody who knew Tamara would vote for her as Christmas queen.
Although I think you would, theyre only hiring elves.
re going to be an elf? Tamara smirked.
Hey, it beats being a food cart vendor, Candace said.
But youre so good at it. Cotton candy, candy corn .. you can sell it all.
Thanks, I think. So, what are we doing tonight? Kurts going to swing by at six to pick us up. Just mentioning her boyfriends name was enough to make Candace smile. She closed her eyes for just a minute and pictured him as she had first seen himwearing a Lone Ranger costume. With his charm and piercing blue eyes, she had fallen for him right away.
You told him my house, right? Tamara said, interrupting her thoughts.
Yeah. So, whos this guy youre taking?
Tamara sighed.
Uh-huh. And?
Remember my cousin Tina?
Well, she broke up with him over the summer, and hes been all shattered since then. He wont date other girls; he just mopes over her.
Candace said sarcastically.
Tell me about it. Well, Tina asked me if I could help him get his confidence back and get over her or something.
A pity date? Are you kidding me? You want Kurt and I to double date with you on a pity date?
You dont think Im about to go by myself, do you? No way. Thats the best-friend creed. When youre happy, Im happy. When Im miserable, you have to be too.
Candace said, rolling her eyes. So, where are we going?
s the problem. I was thinking dinner, but then wed have to talk, and frankly, I dont want to hear him go on about Tina. Then I thought we could see a movie.
You wouldnt have to talk to him, Candace confirmed.
Yeah, but what if
He tries to grab a hand or put his arm around you.
Exactly, and I dont think me giving him a black eye was what Tina had in mind.
I guess that also rules out any kind of concert possibilities? Candace asked wistfully.
Yup. Sorry.
So, what did you come up with?
I was thinking .. theme park?
No way. Kurt doesnt like to spend his downtime there.
I thought he took you to that romantic dinner there over the summer.
It was the nicest restaurant he knew, and he got an employee discount.
Tamara said.
Plus, ever since we got trapped in there overnight, hes been even more adamant about avoiding it when hes off work.
I cant believe you two get to be the stuff of urban legend, and you dont even appreciate it.
Candace sighed. It was true that she and Kurt had spent one of the most miserable nights of their relationship trapped inside the theme park. Urban legend, though, had since transformed the story so that they were supposedly chased through the park by a psycho killer. It was still embarrassing to have -people point at her and say that she was the one. Around Halloween she had given up trying to correct -people. They were going to believe what they wanted.
Earth to Candace. Helloooo?
Sorry. So, what does that leave us with? Shopping?
No need to torture both our dates, Tamara said.
Then what?
I donminiature golf! Tamara suddenly shrieked, so loudly that Candace jumped and slammed her head into the roof of the car.
Tam! Dont scare me like that.
Sorry. Miniature golf. What do you think? Built-in talking points, lots of movement, and zero grabby potential.
I like it. Ill have to borrow one of your jackets though.
At least youll have an actual excuse this time, Tamara teased.
A few minutes later they were at Tamaras house and upstairs raiding her wardrobe. As Tamara considered and discarded a fifth outfit, Candace threw up her hands.
Maybe if youd tell me what youre looking for, I could help.
m looking for something, you know, nunlike.
Candace stared at her friend for a moment before she burst out laughing. She fell to the floor, clutching her stomach as tears streamed down her face. Tamara crossed her arms and tapped her foot, and Candace just laughed harder.
I dont know why you think thats so funny. You know I dont go past kissing.
Tam, nuns cant even do that. And if youre looking for something that will completely hide your body, then youre going to have to go to the mall instead of the closet. You dont own anything that doesnt say look at me. Im sorry, but its true.
Really? Maybe we should go to your house. Think I could find what Im looking for in your closet.

titillation en route to your climax.
The Canine Coupling
Why It's So Hot
The orgasmic advantage of the Canine Coupling (a special version of doggie-style) is that it directs intense, firm pressure from your man's member to your G-spot; pressure so pointed, in fact, that Stubbs says it's "one of the only positions where the penis is touching the G-spot like a bull's-eye. It's a direct hit." Says Paget, "It's primal. This is how animals do it. So when people want to connect with their raw, unbridled, passionate sexuality, they often look to this position." Then there's the erotic incognito element: The fact that neither of you are able to see the other's face can lead to lower self-consciousness and higher pleasure-consciousness. "When you're not able to use your visual sense, you rely on your senses of touch, sound and smell, which allow you to let go and pay attention to the sensations that will help lead you to climax," explains Paget.
How to Do It
Assume an all-fours crawling position and let him enter you from behind, either standing or kneeling on the bed behind you. "But instead of staying on your hands and knees, tilt your shoulders downward with your forearms flat on the bed in front of you," says Paget. The natural curve in your back from this variation will expand or contract your vaginal wall so you can monitor how deep he goes. If you arch your back into a small hump, it will shorten your vagina and shift the stimulation down a notch; bend it the other way and you'll get deeper, more intense thrusting action. Plus, he'll get strong stimulation to the head of his penis, the most sensitive part. If you don't like him to go deep, have him use a circular motion so his pelvic bones don't push into your tush. Should your arms begin to ache from the exertion, meld with the mattress by lying flat on your stomach but arching your buttocks upward by placing a pillow under your pelvis. He'll be perfectly positioned to hit your G-spot, which is on the anterior (tummy side) vaginal wall.
The Magic Missionary
Why It's So Hot
The Magic Missionary is a twist on the regular missionary position that simultaneously stimulates both your and his hot buttons (he gets extremely firm and strong glans stimulation; you get close clitoral stimulation). "Both the man and woman's groin areas stay in constant contact in this position, which can be amazing for orgasms," says Paget. "The heat and sensation are never ending." Most important, the position is fabulous for inducing the sort of muscular contractions that can move mountains. Mattress-wise, it's not an energetic action, explains Paget, but it puts your bod in more pleasure-enhancing motions than the spread-eagle style because it lets you move and squeeze more to build arousal. Plus, your man will be using some of his strongest muscles his thighs and glutes so he'll endure like the Energizer Bunny.
How to Do It
Have him enter you while you are lying on your back with your legs apart. Once he's inside, bring your legs close together and have him hook his ankles around your calves and raise himself up slightly on his hands with a small arch in his back. "He'll look a bit like a frog," says Paget, "but he'll feel more like a prince." By closing your legs, you will create a more snug entry for him and more sustained clitoral stimulation for you his groin will be doing a rumba on your hot spot. "Also, because it's a short stroke and the angle of his penis in this position will be arching up, he can control his movements better (it's the natural direction of his thrusting) and really reach the front vaginal wall." If too much depth in missionary position causes you discomfort, have him use shallow strokes so he doesn't come in contact with your cervix. As for your movements, Paget suggests that you tighten your lower muscles (your hips, glutes and thighs) to create rhythmic clenching in your pelvic area for heightened sensation.
The Titillating Trapeze
Why It's So Hot
"With this sex pose, a woman is really able to watch her man in action and one hundred percent surrender to the sensations," says Paget. The power of this position is that he gets to take complete control and show off like a stud while you lie back, relax and let yourself have some very intense G-spot pressure, says Paget, because your lower body is lifted up at a perfect angle for his penis to give you maximum penetration. Plus, it will double your pleasure: Besides putting your bod in a prime position for your guy to hit your most sizzling spot, you'll also be more open than ever to manually (and directly) stimulate yourself. This will heat up your hottest genital nerve systems (those around the clitoris and the G-spot) and hold them in harmony, so much so that you can have what Paget calls a blended orgasm.
How to Do It
Start by lying on your back on a bed with your legs spread apart slightly and your honey kneeling in front of you. He should then place the backs of your knees in the crooks of his elbows and pull upward so that your lower back and butt are raised off the bed at a 20- to 30-degree angle and the backs of your thighs are pressed against his stomach and chest. Try using one or more pillows beneath your tush and back (the more pillows, the less you have to do) to hike yourself up a bit so he has a prime pleasure-you angle. He should be able to enter you easily this way, as your buttocks will be cupped between his quads with your genitals pressing right up against his. Although you'll have to expend a bit of effort to keep your thighs together, it will be well worth it! "This position allows the man to maintain his balance and push his hips forward when he pulls your body toward and away from him, attaining a very easily maintained rhythmic motion," says Paget. And the better the rhythm, the better your chances of a mind-blowing orgasm.

And the better the rhythm, the better your chances of a mind-blowing orgasm.

big attractions of Christmas for many of us is the Midnight Mass. Its special because its Christmas; its special because its at a time most of us are usually getting ready for bed (unless were out clubbing); its special because of the carols and the choirs and the candlelight.
So, where to go for the best Midnight Mass in London? Lets start with Westminster Cathedral, a huge Catholic basilica with a finely trained choir and a magnificent organ. Here, the mass setting is Charpentiers Messe de Minuit, lovely French baroque music - an unusual choice in England. Mass starts at 1130; if you want to hear the choir in Renaissance music, though, turn up at 1030 on Christmas Day for the Palestrina Missa Hodie Christus natus est (Christ is born today).
The other big church choice is Westminster Abbey, again both starting at 1130. Purely for the music, Id probably choose the Abbey - Mozarts Coronation Mass is perhaps my favourite setting, a magnificent piece of music full of drums and trumpets and pomp and circumstance, but also incredibly moving and deep. The sublime Gothic architecture and the real feeling of an ancient English cathedral make this a great experience - if youve not visited England before, this is the real thing!
Yet another Mozart mass, the Colloredo Mass, at Brompton Oratory (nearest tube: South Kensington), together with Bachs In dulci jubilo on the organ. This service doesnt start till twelve, though there will be carols from 1130. This is a posh Catholic church - Knightsbridge is a very chi-chi area and unless Im much mistaken, this is Tony and Cherie Blairs local church.
My favourite though has always been St Albans, Brooke Street. Its a glorious Victorian church, full of incense for the occasion, and which really knows how to do ritual. Besides which, there will be carol singing before the service, from 1110, while the Mass starts at 1130.
The music this year will be Mozarts Missa Brevis, with an anthem by Palestrina, but what Im really looking forward to is Viernes Carillon de Westminster on the organ. That might not sound very familiar, but in fact Londoners will readily recognise the tune - its the chimes of Big Ben, arranged in splendid, noisy French style.
And if youre anywhere nearby, I recommend you walk back home. Just for once, the streets of London will be quiet and hushed - and if the sky is clear, you can see the stars shining down, and watch your breath making clouds of vapour in the air, and feel happy.
I used to walk back to Stoke Newington - its a good walk, about an hour - and put myself to bed with a glass of whisky. Thats the right way to start Christmas.
